International Study Programs

The Global Pathway Programs at Western Washington University are Intensive English, International Year and Pre-Master’s - taught at the International Study Center on campus. Programs at the International Study Center are specially designed for ambitious international students like you, who want to learn more about the world.

Our programs provide an introduction to the liberal arts education style of universities in the USA, and will help you develop the English language, study skills and academic knowledge needed to succeed. This means during your program you will study a variety of academic courses to deepen your academic, practical, and cultural background.

Your program will be a combination of academic and route specific courses, as well as the English language courses, designed to prepare you for university study at Western. Programs are taught on Western’s campus, at the International Study Center, where you will learn in a supportive environment and be part of student life from your first day. With the support of our expert teachers, you will learn in a supportive environment, committed to your success.

After successful completion of your International Year or Pre-Master's Program, you will be able to progress and continue your undergraduate studies or the Masters of Business Administration program at Western.

International Year

Prepare and start earning credits towards your degree in a 1, 2, or 3-quarter program. Develop your academic and English language skills, and progress ready to succeed.

Pre-Master's Program

Develop your critical thinking skills by studying the 1, 2, or 3-quarter program, preparing you for entry to the Master of Business Administration program at Western.
