Beginning Monday, October 5, the Center for International Studies will host weekly informal gatherings in College Hall 131 to exchange ideas, play games and share each other's cultures.

Informal Welcome Reception: Get acquainted with fellow international and American students in a fun, informal gathering.

Clubs & Activities: Learn about the hundreds of clubs and activities to be explored at WWU. Talk with representatives from several international clubs, find out about dances, concerts, recreational activities and more.


October 19

Culture Shock: Whether you are new to the U.S., or planning to travel abroad, this topic is for you. Learn what to expect while adjusting to a new life and culture and share some of your experiences.

Halloween!! Pumpkin-carving contest, ghost stories, gory make-up, Halloween treats and prizes.

Student cultural presentations: Share stories, pictures, and samples of traditional food in your country with your fellow students.

International Education Week: : WWU and international students share their perspectives on living and adjusting to a new culture.
